KKR Win Over DC Amid Injury Fear for Rahane
Kolkata Knight Riders beat Delhi Capitals by 14 runs in their IPL 2025 encounter on Tuesday. But KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane also injured his hand during the match. Post that, Sunil Narine handled the captaincy for the last nine overs.
Rahane Leaves Field After Hand Injury at Short Cover
Rahane injured himself while fielding at short cover. A strong shot from Delhi opener, Faf du Plessis, hit his hand. After the collision, Rahane walked out of the field and did not come back. He was then spotted with a bandage around his hand.
Injury Not Serious, Says Anukul Roy
Spinner Anukul Roy confirmed that Rahane's injury is nothing major. "He will recover in two to three days," Roy said. "There are some stitches, and doctors will keep an eye on him and give updates. But overall, he is doing well."
