Rajasthan Royals Promote Women Empowerment through Pink Jersey
During their recent IPL 2025 match against Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals played in a complete pink jersey. This was not a fashion decision alone. The pink jersey was an indicator of an overarching campaign called 'Pink Promise Day', to promote rural women and development initiatives in Rajasthan.
Rs 100 Per Ticket for Rural Women Development
Rs 100 for each ticket that will be bought on the game, will be used to help the women of the rural area to be financially stable (development of their selves is meant) in Rajasthan. These amounts are being contributed to a bigger social campaign initiated by the Rajasthan Royals Foundation.
Jersey Sales Also Contribute to Social Causes
Proceeds from jersey sales in which the teams play wearing pink-colored jerseys will also go towards social welfare activities. All the proceeds will be donated directly to the Rajasthan Royals Foundation.
Marketing Solar Power in Sambhar Area
Another aim of this project is to provide electricity to residential areas in the Sambhar area of Rajasthan through solar power. This fits with the team's vision of sustainable development and green energy.
IPL 2025: Milestone 50th Match
This match, in which Rajasthan played against Mumbai, was the 50th match of IPL Season 18.
