Australian All-Rounder Joins Team for Rs 3 Crore Before IPL Clash
Punjab Kings officially announced the signing of Mitchell Owen, an Australian cricketer to replace the injured Glenn Maxwell. The team was willing to pay Rs 3 crore for Owen's signatures.
Owen, who is 23 years old, has yet to feature in an international match but has good domestic experience to his name. In 34 T20 games, he has scored 646 runs, of which two were centuries. Also, the right-arm medium pacer has taken 10 wickets in the format.
Owen most recently played in the Pakistan Super League, again proving his all-round ability on the franchise circuit.
