PM Modi Praise Young Cricket Sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi

PM Modi Congratulates Vaibhav on Record-Breaking IPL Century

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently praised 14-year-old cricket player Vaibhav Suryavanshi for his brilliant IPL show. While inaugurating the Khelo India Youth Games in Bihar via video conferencing, PM Modi mentioned Vaibhav's success and emphasized hard work as a major contributor to his success. Vaibhav playing for Rajasthan Royals scored a century off just 35 balls against Gujarat and broke a new record.

Modi indicated that increased participation in sports leads to greater improvement among sportsmen. He referred to Vaibhav's performance as the result of intense commitment and consistent effort.

Greg Chappell Issues a Warning and Guidance to Young Vaibhav

Now-redundant Australian cricketer Greg Chappell advised that Vaibhav Suryavanshi should be dealt with compassionately and holistically with long-term vision in mind. Regarding the subject, Chappell appealed to BCCI, teams in the IPL, and media personnel to provide the young batter a nourishing environment instead of indulging him overmuch with glory too soon.

Chappell compared Vaibhav's initial success to cricket legends, noting that although Sachin Tendulkar succeeded due to discipline, intense coaching, and family support, others like Vinod Kambli and Prithvi Shaw could not handle early success and lacked such organization. He warned that the wrong handling of Vaibhav's growth could ruin his future, stressing that the young player should be handled carefully and protected from excessive publicity.
