KKR Vs CSK: MS Dhoni Comments On His IPL Future After Chennai's Victory

CSK Beats KKR, Impacting Playoff Qualification

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won another game, beating Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The win did not benefit the playoff qualification of KKR. CSK captain MS Dhoni spoke about his future in the Indian Premier League (IPL) after the game.

Dhoni Wants to Make Decision in Eight Months

Dhoni explained that it will take him about eight months to determine if he is going to play next season. He also said that he still attends the stadiums to play since most people think that this could be his last season.

I enjoy the affection and love of the fans. I am 43 years old now and have played so many years. Most of the fans are not even aware that this would be my final year, so they watch me. I play cricket for only two months a year," Dhoni admitted.

Dhoni Remembers CSK's Eventful Season

CSK's run was brought to an end by inconsistent performances. This is what Dhoni stated during the post-match ceremony.

"Everything is not in our hands. This season did not turn out the way we had hoped. It is natural to be emotional. There are positives though. We need to know where each of the 25 players fits. We will fight, but we need order too—a sense of who can bowl where, and when they can score. Our batsmen did not get runs often enough, which killed us. Being out, we will give opportunities to others," he clarified.

Dhoni Creates New IPL Record

MS Dhoni created a new record in IPL history. Dhoni is the first player who has been unbeaten 100 times in IPL matches. Dhoni scored 17 runs and remained not out against KKR while creating this record.
