Gavaskar Seeks the Sober IPL Atmosphere
Sunil Gavaskar, a former cricketer, has indicated that the remaining IPL 2025 games should be held without entertainment segments such as DJs and cheerleaders. His appeal follows the recent India-Pakistan tensions, which resulted in the loss of life, both civilians and soldiers.
In the view of Gavaskar, this action would be respectful to the impacted families. He stated that matches should remain open to fans but without excessive celebrations. "A lot of families have become the victims of the Pakistan violence, so they have lost many of their loved ones," Gavaskar explained. "We must respect them. Let the game go on. But leave out the fanfare. No cheerleaders. No DJ music between overs."
