
Neeraj Posts New Personal Best at Doha Diamond League
Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra shattered the 90-meter barrier for the very first time in his life. He hurled 90.23 meters on Friday at the Doha Diamond League tournament. The throw was his new personal best.
Finishes Second Despite Record Throw
Even though he threw well, Neeraj came second. German athlete Julian Weber threw 91.06 meters in his final attempt and came first.
Previous Achievements Showcase His Career
Neeraj had previously thrown 89.94 meters. He won the 2020 Olympic Games with 87.58 meters. The same throw brought him a silver medal in the 2024 Olympics in Paris.1 He got the gold at the 2023 World Championships by the throw of 88.17 meters.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Neeraj after the event. He made a post on X saying:
