Will Dhoni feature in IPL 2026? No Clear Answer Yet
There is no answer to whether Mahendra Singh Dhoni will feature in the upcoming IPL season. When IPL 2026 kicks off, Dhoni will be 44 years old. For the past few years, he has been playing season by season.
When quizzed on his future, Dhoni did not have a straightforward reply. Journalists also questioned Chennai Super Kings coach Stephen Fleming on the same. His reply was also ambiguous. Fleming merely said, "I don't know."
CSK Missed Playoffs but Young Talent Emerged
This year, Chennai Super Kings did not make it to the playoffs because of poor performance. But Fleming cited a positive effect — the emergence of new talents. He named Ayush Mhatre and Dewald Brevis as hopeful players.
Fleming also said that the team has a more balanced mix of veteran players and young guns now.
