Rishabh Pant Finds Life Difficult in Current IPL Season
Rishabh Pant has not had an easy IPL season this season. Lucknow Supergiants purchased him for ₹27 crore in the auction. They also appointed him as the team captain. Still, Pant has managed only 135 runs in 12 matches till now. His performance has not been up to expectations.
Aakash Chopra Offers Support to Pant
Support has come for Pant from former India cricketer Aakash Chopra. He added, "Victory teaches something, but losses change the mindset. Pant is not a regular player in India's T20 team. So, this season matters a lot to him."
Chopra feels Pant is losing an important opportunity to establish himself. "He is not playing good innings. Nothing is going right for him. His form is also not consistent. It's like a nightmare. But if he wakes up, the nightmare disappears," Chopra further stated.
Pant's Role and Chances Ahead
Chopra also discussed Pant's role in the Lucknow side. "Pant is crucial in the middle order. He seemed aggressive at the beginning of the season. But his performance decreased later on. That indicates he is out of form," he clarified.
However, Chopra remained optimistic about Pant's return to form. "Pant will surely bounce back. He will regain his form," he said.
Two Matches Left in League Stage
Lucknow Supergiants have two games left. They play Gujarat Titans on May 22. They have their last league game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on May 27. People are looking forward to Pant doing better in these games.
