Mumbai Cricket Association Withdraws Previous NOC
Yashasvi Jaiswal will continue playing domestic cricket for Mumbai. The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) agreed to his plea on June 30 to withdraw the No Objection Certificate (NOC) previously granted to allow him to play for Goa. This implies Jaiswal will remain with the Mumbai team.
MCA President Ajinkya Naik has confirmed the move. "Yashasvi Jaiswal is the pride of Mumbai cricket. We have withdrawn the NOC on his request. He will continue to play for Mumbai from next season onwards," he stated.
Jaiswal Had Originally Decided to Shift to Goa
Earlier in April, Jaiswal had wished to change from Mumbai to Goa. He applied for an NOC from the MCA, which was issued. But then he reversed his decision and requested the MCA to cancel the NOC.
In his request for cancellation, Jaiswal said that his family has shelved plans to relocate to Goa. He also said that he never forwarded the NOC to the Goa Cricket Association or the BCCI.
