The third Test between India and England will start on July 10 at Lord's. James Anderson, a former English fast bowler, has recommended Jofra Archer be in England's playing XI.

Archer's Return After Injury Concerns

Jofra Archer has not appeared in a Test match since February 2021. He was out of action because of injuries and persistent fitness issues. Recently, he came back to competitive cricket by playing a first-class match.

Archer Missed Second Test Despite Squad Inclusion

While Archer had been included in England's second Test team against India, he was not picked for the final XI. England lost the match by 336 runs. The series is currently level at 1-1.

Anderson feels Archer Must Play at Lord's

James Anderson is firm in his belief that Archer must be picked for the third Test. He stated, "I know Jofra Archer is going to play in the third Test. He has just played a first-class game. Not choosing him at Lord's would be a blunder."

England head coach Brendon McCullum also commented on Archer's current health. He stated, "Jofra Archer looks fit at the moment. We will consider him for the third Test. We are aware of his value in Test cricket."
