
Sinner Takes First Wimbledon Title
World number one Jannik Sinner emerged victorious in the Wimbledon 2025 tournament. He defeated the defending champion Carlos Alcaraz in the final. Top seed Sinner defeated Alcaraz in four sets: 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4. He was more aggressive and consistent in the game.
Alcaraz Takes the First Set
In the first set, Sinner began strongly. He broke Alcaraz's serve in the fifth game and was ahead 4-2. Alcaraz countered very soon, though. He employed powerful baseline shots and solid drop shots. He broke Sinner's serve in the eighth game and levelled it at 4-4. He then broke again in the tenth game to take the first set.
Sinner Rallies Back in Second and Third Sets
Sinner fought back in the second set. He broke Alcaraz's serve in the opening game and led 3-1. He maintained the pressure and captured the set 6-4. In the third set, the two players held serve until 4-4. Then Sinner broke Alcaraz in the ninth game. He served out the set and led 2-1 in sets.
Sinner Dominates the Fourth Set
In the fourth set, Sinner broke early again. He took a 3-1 lead after breaking in the third game. He maintained his focus and controlled the rallies. With strong serving and aggressive returns, he won the final set 6-4.
