
All-India Final in Women's Chess World Cup 2025
The Women's Chess World Cup 2025 final has arrived. Both of the finalists are from India, so the trophy is guaranteed to remain within the nation. The contest is between seasoned player Koneru Humpy from Andhra Pradesh and up-and-coming 19-year-old chess sensation Divya Deshmukh. Humpy contributes experience, and Divya contributes vigor and recent form.
Match Format and Timing
- The last will be contested in the classical style over two days.
- First game: July 26 at 4:30 IST
- Second game: July 27
- Both players will be allotted 90 minutes for the initial 40 moves
- There will be 30 additional minutes after 40 moves
- Players receive a 30-second increment on each move
In the event both classical games are a draw, rapid tiebreaks will be conducted on Monday.
Prize Money
- Winner: ₹43 lakhs and the World Cup title
- Runner-up: ₹30 lakhs
