Rishabh Pant Urges Team India To Win Final Test For The Nation

India Concludes Manchester Test in a Draw

India won the Manchester Test against England. Rishabh Pant, who was injured, played the first innings. Though he was injured, he scored a half-century. The BCCI had previously said that Pant would play in the second innings if necessary. But the rest of Indian batsmen played well and made his second innings unnecessary.

Pant Sends Message to Teammates

Pant, who was unable to play in the fifth Test due to his injury, left a message for his team. He asked them to win the last match and bring pride to the country. He reminded them of playing for the team and not for personal gains.

"My message is just to win. Let us do it for the nation. I wish to assist the team, not myself. I feel fortunate for the support I received from my teammates during difficult times. To play for the nation is always a privilege," Pant stated.

Coach Gambhir Talks About Pant's Contribution

India's coach Gautam Gambhir welcomed Pant's performance. He said the half-century in the Manchester Test was a solid basis. He added that Pant not only motivated the team in the match but also future players.

"I do not pay much attention to individual scores. But this innings from Pant was important. It galvanized the team and will energize many in the future. The country is proud of him," said Gambhir.

Sachin Hails Team India's Comeback

Team India's fightback has been hailed by former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. He welcomed the team. He praised key players for their return.

"This Test was extremely crucial. The team showed a fantastic comeback. Salutes to KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, and Washington Sundar. Their spirit reflects true courage. All the best for the last Test," Sachin shared on social media.
