Pakistan Pulls out of World Championship of Legends
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made it official that their players will no longer participate in the World Championship of Legends (WCL). This decision is in response to allegations made by PCB that the WCL organizers have been biased and unfair.
Conflict with Indian Legends Team
The PCB took this step following the refusal of the Indian Legends team to play against Pakistan. India avoided their group-stage match versus Pakistan and boycotted the semi-final encounter as well. Due to this, Pakistan went straight to the final match.
Allegations Against WCL Management
PCB alleges WCL management deliberately wanted to keep Pakistan out of the event. Bollywood star Ajay Devgn is one of the co-owners of the WCL, and this has added fuel to the speculations regarding the intentions of the organizers.
Final Match Summary
South Africa beat Pakistan by 9 wickets in the final. Pakistan scored 195 for 5, while Sharjeel Khan played a score of 76 runs. South Africa chased the score in 16.5 overs, De Villiers scoring 120* and Duminy scoring 50*.
