Rajasthan Royals Reacts to Transfer Rumors
There are reports that Sanju Samson, the Rajasthan Royals captain, could play for Chennai Super Kings in the forthcoming IPL season. None of Rajasthan Royals or Chennai Super Kings has made any official statement so far. Sanju Samson has not made any statement on these rumors either.
However, sources from Rajasthan Cricket have shared updates. According to them, Rajasthan Royals are clear about their stance. The team does not want to release Sanju Samson.
It was stated by one of the franchise officials, "We have taken a very clear decision. We are not looking to trade Sanju Samson or anyone else. Sanju is very comfortable in our team. He's leading the team very nicely. So, we don't need to release him."
Is CSK Seeking a New Captain?
Chennai Super Kings is itself among the most successful teams of all time in the history of the IPL. MS Dhoni, a cricket legend, was the captain of the team. Last year, when Ruturaj Gaikwad got injured, Dhoni took over as captain.
Fans now wonder. Will Ruturaj become the permanent captain next year? Or will CSK find a new captain outside the team?
Reports indicate that CSK is weighing possibilities such as Sanju Samson, Rishabh Pant, or KL Rahul. It is, however, worth mentioning that Rajasthan Royals finished 9th in the previous season under the captaincy of Sanju. Chennai Super Kings also had a bad season and fell to the lowest point in the table.
