India, the defending champion, defeated Chinese Taipei 35–28 in the final held on Monday. The match remained close, but India had gained control after some strong defense and clear attacking moves. Sanju Devi, Pushpa Rana, Champa Thakur, Bhawna Thakur, and Sakshi Sharma all contributed to India's victory. Led by Ritu Negi, India retained the title without losing any match in the tournament.
The tournament had 11 participating countries. India had won all its matches in the group stage against Thailand, Bangladesh, Germany, and Uganda. India then defeated Iran 33–21 in the semi-final. This victory marks the second major achievement for India this year; the team also lifted the Asian Championship in March.

He said the victory depicts teamwork and determination; every player is a champion.
