A rare instance of a meet-and-greet occurred at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Sunday when former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar interacted with Argentine football superstar Lionel Messi. Both players have strong ties with ‘number 10 jerseys.’ Messi’s interaction with cricketer Sachin Tendulkar in India occurred during "The GOAT India Tour."
Messi in Mumbai
The famous football player, Lionel Messi, arrived in Mumbai with other players, including Rodrigo De Paul and Luis Suárez, on Sunday afternoon. The players arrived in Mumbai and went to Brabourne Stadium under tight security at 4 PM to watch a celebrity football match. They later moved to Wankhede Stadium, where an 'All-Stars' football match took place.

Players were playing football with children for short brief moments in the field.
Relationship Between Tendulkar & Messi
- The audience cheered with rowdy applause at the moment when Sachin Tendulkar stepped foot inside the stadium. Messi and other players welcomed Tendulkar onto the ground. Tendulkar gifted Messi his jersey from the ODI World Cup in 2011 with an autograph on it. Messi, with an jersey number of 10 in football too, accepted this gift with courtesy. Tendulkar received a football World Cup ball from Messi.
- Messi will arrive in Delhi on Monday and will have a meeting with Prime Minister Modi. Additionally, he will have a meeting with the Chief Justice of India, Surya Kant, and Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi. The aforementioned meetings will take place in the presence of Praful Patel, former AIFF president and a Member of Parliament in the Nationalist Congress Party. Later in the evening, Messi will participate in an event at Feroze Shah Kotla Ground, with an event timing of 3:30 PM.
