Recognition of Women’s Category
Indian women's cricketer Shafali Verma has been named ICC Player of the Month for November 2025. The award has been announced on the back of India's victory in the 2025 ODI Women's World Cup.
Staring at key role in World Cup final
Shafali joined the Indian team during the later stage of the tournament after Pratika Rawal was ruled out due to injury. She produced a fine all-round performance in the final match against South Africa. She top-scored in the game with 87 runs from 78 balls. In that match, her innings proved the major reason for India winning the World Cup title.
The ball was impacted
Shafali also contributed as a bowler in the final by bowling seven overs, giving away 36 runs, and taking two important wickets. These breakthroughs came at a crucial stage and shifted the match in India's favour.

Shafali looked happy while receiving the award. She felt proud while contributing to the team’s success and to be a part of India’s first World Cup win at home. She also said that she was dedicating this award to her teammates, coaches, family, and supporters. According to her, team effort was the key reason for this achievement.
Winner of men's category
In the men's category, South African spinner Simon Harmer won the ICC Player of the Month award for November 2025. He had taken 17 wickets in a two-Test series against India and was named the Player of the Series.
