Vaibhav Suryavanshi created a history when he donned his Bihar jersey for a Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Arunachal Pradesh in Ranchi. This players hundred came in just 36 balls, thus becoming the second-fastest hundred in List A cricket history.

Opening the batting, Vaibhav took charge right from the word go. He is unbeaten on 156 runs from 61 balls. His innings includes 14 fours and 13 sixes. He reached his century in rapid fashion and he maintains a high rate throughout the innings.

Bihar in a Coveted Position

Off 18 overs, Bihar managed 206 runs for the loss of one wicket. Piyush Singh remained unbeaten with 9 off 8 balls, with one four, as he batted with Vaibhav. The two have added an unbeaten 49 runs in just 26 balls for the second wicket.

Support from the Other Opener

The other opener, Mangal Mahroor made 33 runs from 43 balls; four of them were boundaries. He was the only Bihar batter that has got so far in this tournament dismissed.

Bowling Effort from Arunachal Pradesh

Among the Arunachal Pradesh bowlers, the lone wicket fell to Tekhi Neri. Rest of the bowling attack was rendered ineffective by some intense attacking batting display in which Vaibhav Suryavanshi played a big role.
