Youngcricketer VaibhavSuryavanshi received the Prime Minister's NationalChildren's Award. He received this award from PresidentDroupadiMurmu at RashtrapatiBhavanvas Delhi on Friday. This award is for hisoutstanding achievements in sporting activities at a very young age.
Early Cricketing Successes
Vaibhav marked his IPL debut in 2025 for Rajasthan Royals. At 14 years and 23 days of age, he set the record for being the youngest player to participate in an IPL event. Then, he hit a century in his third outing, which took 35 deliveries against Gujarat Titans.
Successes in Domestic & International Tournaments
- Other tournaments saw him continuing his impressive form. He scored a hundred in the Asia Cup Rising Stars, Under-19 Asia Cup, and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He broke the record of being the youngest player, aged just 14 years and 250 days, to have scored a hundred in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
- In recent times, he smashed 190 runs from 84 balls in the Vijay Hazare Trophy competition while playing for Bihar against Arunachal Pradesh. His knock consisted of 16 fours and 15 sixes. He just failed to fetch a double century while opening the innings.
- Vaibhav’s achievement contributes to the increasing list of records he holds and marks the appreciation of his fast development within the Indian Cricket team.
