India Under-19 Team Interacts With Sachin Tendulkar

The Indian Under-19 cricket team conducted a virtual meeting with former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. The meeting took place before India’s Super Six match against Pakistan which is set to happen on Sunday.

  • The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared images from the virtual session on social media. The BCCI described the interaction as a valuable experience for the young players. The team received guidance on essential elements which they needed to achieve success and develop their cricket skills for long-term prosperity.
  • The BCCI also highlighted that Sachin analyzed values which went beyond his expertise in technical skills and his ability to perform physical tasks. These included focus, discipline, humility, and the importance of staying grounded during success.

Sachin Tendulkar’s Career Highlights

  • Sachin Tendulkar represented India in six Cricket World Cups, the most by any batsman. He scored 2,278 runs in 45 World Cup matches. He was part of the Indian team that won the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2011.
  • Sachin ended his One-Day International career in 2012. He finished his international cricket career in 2013 after he played his 200th Test match at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
