US President Donald Trump shared a message of support for the United States cricket team after its defeat against India in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.
Trump’s Message to Team USA
Trump said he had learned that the Cricket World Cup was being held in India. He wished Team USA good luck and expressed confidence in the team. He also mentioned that every citizen of the nation was backing the players to achieve victory in the tournament.
India Defeats USA in Opening Match
The match between India and the United States took place on Saturday night. It was part of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The host country India achieved their first match victory of the tournament. In the opening match held in Mumbai, India defeated the USA by 29 runs.
The United States team competed strongly and fought until the end. The team was unable to avoid defeat. Trump’s message was posted after the conclusion of the match.
