BCCI Confirms Major Cash Reward
- The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a major reward for Team India. The team recently won the T20 World Cup 2026 title.

Increase Compared to 2024 Reward
- Team India also won the T20 World Cup in 2024. Rohit Sharma led the team during that tournament. At that time, the BCCI announced a cash prize of ₹125 crore.
- The new reward for the 2026 victory is higher. The board increased the amount by ₹6 crore compared to the previous announcement.
ICC Prize Money for the Tournament
- The International Cricket Council (ICC) also announced official prize money for the tournament. Team India will receive ₹21.5 crore for winning the T20 World Cup 2026.
- New Zealand finished as the runner-up in the tournament. The team will receive ₹10.75 crore as prize money from the ICC.
