Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has announced that the honeymoon phase of six months after the government formation has ended. He stated that he will work hard from now onwards and connect with people directly. He declared his decision to spend two weeks every month in the area by visiting villages, interacting with people, and working hard before seeking votes.
Pawan Kalyan remarked, “If you believe in my leadership after my five-year term, re-elect me as your MLA. Otherwise, you are free not to.” He also committed to traveling across the state and visiting every district. Speaking at Pithapuram Shakti Peetham, he stressed the need for a coalition government to continue for at least 15 years. He inaugurated 12,500 Gokulas across the state at an event in Kumarapuram, Kakinada district, during the Palle Pandya-Panchayat Week celebrations in Pithapuram. He also unveiled a commemorative stone plaque at the Municipal High School in Pithapuram and addressed a large public gathering.
Government Achievements: Focus on Development
The chief minister emphasized the Government's many actions that have actually delivered in a short period: over 12,500 Gokulas in a matter of six months. He also pointed out that the previous YSRCP Government could construct 268 Gokulas within five years. He expressed further that the government is working on an Employment Guarantee Scheme that would bring better income for the farmers.
Big achievements:
- ₹5,193 crore released to 97 lakh workers under the Employment Guarantee Scheme. ₹2 crore to be paid.???.
- The work would include hosting 13,326 gram sabhas in the single day.
- Seal permission from ₹4,500 crores for development work like 22,500 new Gokulas, 3,500 km CC road
- Initiation of orchid cultivation on an area of 43,385 acre small and Marginal farmer own land
- Completely setting a wage monitoring committee to check such fraudulence to develop a higher pay rate.
He criticized the previous government for its failures and said that the inefficiencies of the YSRCP government, such as the near extinction of cooperative dairies, needed correction. "Only 10% of cooperative dairy societies remain active, and we aim to revitalize this sector," he said.
A Strong Warning Against Social Evils
Pawan Kalyan warned strictly against eve-teasing and the sale of illegal drugs. He directed the Collector and Superintendent of Police in Pithapuram to take immediate steps to check the same. "If girls are harassed or crimes against women are ignored, stringent action will be taken," he asserted. He also said that if justice is not meted out to all, he would personally hit the streets to bring about change.
Acknowledging his role as Deputy Chief Minister, he questioned the relevance of holding such a position if he could not adequately serve his constituency. He appealed to his supporters to refrain from discussing films or rumors during tragedies or accidents, urging them to prioritize empathy and action.
Responsibility and Accountability
Reflecting on the tragic incident in Tirupati, where six people lost their lives and 39 others were injured, Pawan Kalyan expressed his heartfelt apologies and took full responsibility. "People trusted the NDA because of Chandrababu Naidu's leadership. If Chandrababu, I, and 164 MLAs fail, how can the necessary boards and positions be appointed?" he asked.
He drew a parallel with Japan's Prime Minister, who apologized for the mistakes of three generations ago, and stressed accountability. He appealed to Tithide Board Chairman BR Naidu, EO Shyamala Rao, AEO Venkaiah Chaudhary, and others to offer a public apology.
It saw participation from noted personalities such as MP Uday Srinivas, PR-Rural Development Principal Secretary Shashibhushan Kumar, Commissioner Krishna Teja, and TDP, BJP, and Jana Sena leaders.
