
NTR's Death Anniversary Observed at NTR Ghat
Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh and Nara Bhuvaneshwari offered their tributes at NTR Ghat on the death anniversary of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, also known as NTR. Nara Lokesh and Nara Bhuvaneshwari recollected NTR's massive contributions to society as a leader and Chief Minister. NTR had served with great concern for public welfare.
NTR Political Heritage and Reforms
Speaking on the occasion, Nara Lokesh said that NTR was the one who changed the political scenario and brought the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) to power. Lokesh said that NTR was a trendsetter with his two-rupee-per-kilogram rice scheme and equal property rights for women. He called NTR a political visionary, saying he was more than a name-an enduring movement that sparked change.
Aspirations for Bharat Ratna and Commitment to Telugu People
Lokesh wished for NTR to be given the Bharat Ratna for his unmatched services to Indian society. "We will enthusiastically work for the welfare of the Telugu people, striving to uplift the Telugu nation in the global platform," he said.
Future Plans and Party Reconstruction Efforts
Lokesh spoke on the party's activities, saving Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, and discussion on TDP's restructuring in Telangana. He claimed that more than 1.60 lakh people joined the party in Telangana and said that it was a testimony to the trust and confidence that the people had in the region. He also said that he would soon communicate the party's future course of action.
Lokesh concluded by affirming the TDP's dedication to the Telugu people and their aspirations, promising consistent efforts to uphold NTR's legacy.
