
Deadly In-Flight Collision During Landing
There was a devastating air accident in Washington, USA. A military helicopter collided with a passenger aircraft that contained 64 passengers while it was on an attempt to land. The collision had been nearly Ronald Reagan National Airport as the two aircraft attempted to land. The plane and the helicopter crash into the Potomac River after being hit. Rescue teams are conducting a full-scale rescue operation at the crash site.

It was around 8:30 PM (local time) on Wednesday when the incident happened. The PSA Airlines passenger plane had just taken off from Wichita, Kansas, and was heading towards landing in Washington. Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of Defense's Sikorsky H-60 Black Hawk helicopter was approaching the runway as well. A loud explosion followed the mid-air collision, with both aircraft eventually crashing into the river.
Passengers and Crew on Board

- The Black Hawk helicopter was carrying three military personnel, but no VIPs were reported on board, according to Defense Department officials.
Rescue Efforts Underway
Within minutes of the news reaching the rescue teams and rescue workers, emergency personnel sped towards the location. There is search in progress on the Potomac River to locate the missing passengers and crew members. No report is still issued from authorities about the victims or injuries till now.
