
Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony Completed
The arrangements to lay the foundation stone of new Osmania Hospital building have come to an end. The purpose of the latest facility is for state-of-art medical services in the state of Telangana. Chief minister Revanth Reddy will also lay the stone on Friday 11: 55 AM followed by Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, M and H minister Damodar Rajanarsimha in addition to various other officials at the venue
New Hospital would cater to Other States as Well
Osmania Hospital is serving patients for decades from Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, and Karnataka. Now, the government has decided to construct a new modern hospital building at Gosha Mahal Stadium in place of the present building at Afzalganj.
Project Details
- Total Area: 32 lakh square feet
- Location: 26-acre site at Gosha Mahal Stadium
- Capacity: 2,000 beds
- Infrastructure: Compared to corporate hospitals
Recently, while reviewing the project, the Chief Minister ordered that this facility be designed to cater to the healthcare needs of the next 100 years.
State-of-the-Art Medical Facilities
The hospital shall have:
- Super-speciality medical services
- Dedicated operation theaters for each department
- Post-operative & ICU wards attached to each theater
- Comprehensive diagnostic services on the lower level
Estimated Cost & Future Expansion
The estimated cost of the new hospital will be between Rs. 2500 crore and Rs. 2700 crore. Once it is completed, there will be a 20% increase in doctors, and the hospital will be able to:
- Treat 5,000 outpatients every day
- Do robotic surgeries across 30 medical departments
The redevelopment will change Osmania Hospital into a world-class medical facility for the next generations.
