Tuni Municipality Vice Chairman Election Postponed Due To Lack Of Quorum

Election Postponed Citing Insufficient Quorum

The election of the Vice Chairman of Tuni Municipality located in Kakinada district has been deferred. The joint collector of the district clarified that a unanimous decision was taken on account of the nonavailability of the quorum. The new date for the restarted election now will be scheduled for Tuesday morning.

YSRCP Councilors' Absence Leads to Delay

During the election process, 10 councilors from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) faction were the ones who voted. However, the remaining councilors supported by Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) were nowhere to be found. That was the main reason for the election to be postponed since the desired number of members was not present.

Palakonda Nagar Panchayat Chairman Election Also Postponed

Similarly, the Chairman election of Palakonda Nagar Panchayat was also put off due to the same factor. The officials explained that the decision to postpone the meeting was a result of no-show of YSRCP councilors and further informed that the election would be held on Tuesday.
