'The Delhi Files' is an Indian upcoming Hindi-language feature film to be directed by Vivek Agnihotri. It is the third and final installment of Agnihotri's "Files" trilogy of modern Indian history, after The Tashkent Files (2019) and The Kashmir Files (2022).
The film will be divided into two parts, and the first one will be named The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter, to be released on 15 August 2025 (Independence Day in India).
The film chronicles the communal violence that took place in undivided Bengal during the 1940s, including Direct Action Day and the Noakhali riots, which Agnihotri has referred to as a "Hindu genocide". Agnihotri has titled the film The Delhi Files to emphasize his argument that "the destiny of India is written in Delhi and not in Bengal".
