'War 2' Set for Release with New Cast
'War 2' has a release date of August 14 in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. It will feature Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani in the starring cast. The movie is the sequel to the 2019 film 'War', which had Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, and Vaani Kapoor in the lead.
Original Cast Members Not Returning
Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor, the prominent cast of the original film, do not feature in 'War 2'. Vaani Kapoor recently shared why she does not appear in the sequel.
Vaani Kapoor Shares Her Views
While promoting her Netflix show 'Mandala Murders', Vaani replied to queries regarding 'War 2'. In an interview for a podcast, she mentioned, "I congratulate the crew of 'War 2'. I am glad I was a part of the first film."
She added on a lighter note that she, Tiger Shroff, and director Siddharth Anand are not part of the new movie. Talking about the storyline of 'War', she said in a lighter vein, "Tiger and I died in the film. If Tiger is back, I'll be back as well."
Kapoor's Current Project: Mandala Murders
Vaani Kapoor features as an investigative officer in 'Mandala Murders'. The crime thriller is helmed by Gopi Putran. It is an imaginary town called Charandaspur where a series of murders take place. Surveen Chawla and Vaibhav Raj Gupta also feature in the show in pivotal roles.
