Director Speaks About the Journey of the Film and Visual Effects
The movie Hari Hara Veeramallu, featuring Pawan Kalyan, was released a few days ago. People on social media watched the film after release and commented on the visual effects (VFX) in certain scenes. Director Jyothi Krishna shared his views about this in a recent interview.
He indicated the film was initially intended to be a comedy. He further stated, "I have been associated with the film since the start. Now the movie is released, I can talk about it."
Original Plan and Delays
As per Jyothi Krishna, the story of the film, which revolves around Kohinoor diamond, was originally conceived as a light-hearted movie. Director Krish had planned to shoot it on the lines of Maya Bazaar. They began with action scenes. But the COVID-19 pandemic and the ensuing events like elections created lengthy delays.
"Krish waited for roughly a year's time," Jyothi Krishna added. "But owing to his work commitments to other projects, he withdrew. Afterwards, I met with Pawan Kalyan and told him about the plan of dividing the story into two portions. Pawan agreed and urged me to direct it myself."
Story Adjustments and Part 2 Details
He revealed that the narrative in Hari Hara Veeramallu Part 1 was altered. The one originally intended by Krish, which revolves around Kohinoor diamond, will be included in Part 2.
"We will show the complete tale of the Kohinoor in the second part," he added.
On Visual Effects and Audience Feedback
Jyothi Krishna spoke about the computer-generated imagery (CGI) of the movie. He drew parallels with Brahmastra that had 4,500 CGI shots. Comparatively, Hari Hara Veeramallu saw 4,399 CGI shots. Of those, 4 or 5 were problematic and were later corrected.
He said he worked round-the-clock in the last few days before the release. "I didn't go home for 10 days before the release. I remained at the office," he added.
Public Reaction towards the Movie
He admitted the criticism but declared that it was restricted. "Every movie has some criticism. But nobody complained that this movie is too long, dull, or that the second half was not good. They only criticized a couple of poor CGI shots," he added. "It's not fair to judge the whole movie by a few scenes."
