FWICE Withdraws Non-Cooperation Directive Against Ranveer Singh
The dispute around actor Ranveer Singh and the soon to be released film Don 3 seems like it is finally heading toward some kind of resolution. On Wednesday, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) came out officially saying they would withdraw the non co operation directives that were earlier issued against him. This basically feels like a big step in calming down the tensions between the two sides, and it also leaves room for more conversations going forward.
FWICE withdraws the directive
FWICE made the call at a press conference held on Wednesday. In that announcement the body said it was pulling back the non co operation directive that had been put in place for Ranveer Singh.
FWICE President B.N. Tiwari also released an official statement. As he said, the whole matter should be settled by dialogue and mutual understanding, not dragging it out with ongoing conflict. The organization also shared that it is inclined toward a peaceful settlement and that it sincerely hopes everyone involved can arrive at a resolution that feels satisfactory.
Legal notices mattered a lot
The update arrives after reports claimed that Ranveer Singh sent legal notices to FWICE. Even though the exact contents of those notices have not been revealed publicly, they are said to have sparked more talks between the actor and the industry body.
That back and forth legal communication seems to have helped bring everything back to a negotiation mode. After that review, FWICE reconsidered its earlier position and finally decided to withdraw it.
Ashok Pandit Shares FWICE’s Stand
FWICE chief advisor and filmmaker Ashok Pandit did talk about it, during the press conference. As per him Ranveer Singh actually requested the withdrawal of the non-cooperation directive. He said it like it was pretty direct, and then sort of moved on.
Pandit also added that FWICE had asked the actor to sit, and have discussions with the production team connected with Don 3. In his view, open communication still stays as the most effective way to handle worries, and to make sure nobody ends up with more misunderstandings. Overall, his remarks point toward the organization trying to seek cooperation from all sides, so the whole thing can finally be wrapped up.
Clarification on FWICE’s Authority
In the same stretch of his comments, Ashok Pandit clarified a key thing about FWICE’s position in the film industry. He said that the organization does not hold legal authority to impose an official ban on any person working in the industry.
This clarification, came in the middle of broad talk about reports of a “ban” on Ranveer Singh. Pandit then explained that FWICE may issue non-cooperation directives, but it cannot stop industry professionals from working, and it would not be through a legally enforceable ban.
So the message was basically to clear the confusion about what kind of action was taken earlier against the actor.
Positive Outlook for Future Discussions
FWICE representatives, meanwhile, sounded optimistic. Ashok Pandit said the organization is hoping for a positive response from Ranveer Singh, and that back and forth discussions with the production team will help settle what is still left.
The withdrawal of the directive, is being treated as a move toward getting things back to normal, while ongoing film projects can continue without any extra friction.
What This Means for Don 3
With the non-cooperation directive now withdrawn, attention is likely to shift back to Don 3 and its development. The resolution of the dispute could help reduce uncertainty surrounding the project and allow all stakeholders to focus on production-related matters.
While further discussions may still be required, the latest developments indicate that both sides are moving toward a more cooperative approach. For now, the withdrawal of the directive marks a significant breakthrough in a controversy that has attracted considerable attention across the film industry.
