
Record Devotee Attendance at Kumbh Mela 2025
Large crowds are attending the current Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that 60 crore individuals have taken a holy dip at sacred Triveni Sangam between January 13 and February 22. He added that the world is acknowledging the religious and cultural importance of Mahakumbh.
Yogi Adityanath Criticizes Mela Doubters
The Chief Minister was upset with individuals who doubt the potential and development of the state and charged them with trying to lower the Kumbh Mela image. He added that 60 crore visitors had been estimated by Mahashivratri by the authorities, and the target had been exceeded ahead of time due to a huge turnout.
Historic Encounter at Maha Kumbh 2025
Organized once every 12 years, the Maha Kumbh Mela began on January 13 and will conclude on February 26. The preliminary estimates were 40 to 45 crore visitors, but with 1.5 crore pilgrims per day, the figure has crossed expectations. Traditional Crowds during Mauni Amavasya The Uttar Pradesh government informed that around 8 crore devotees thronged Prayagraj on 29 January, the holy day of Mauni Amavasya. There are only four days remaining for the fair to end, and pilgrim arrivals are still on the rise.
