Election process and official steps
- The Election Commission officials will deliver the official gazette notification which contains the west bengal election results to Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Kumar Agarwal. The event will occur today.
- The Chief Electoral Officer will present these documents to Governor R. N. Ravi on Wednesday. The Governor will proceed to ask Mamatha Benarjee for her resignation after this procedure.
- Mamatha Benarjee has assumed the position of Chief Minister. She will serve as interim Chief Minister until the new government takes office.
Temple in Asansol reopens after several years
- A Durga Devi temple in West Bengal's Asansol area reopened to the public on Monday. The temple had been closed for several years.
- The community conflicts and administrative bans led to the temple closing operations. The temple permitted entry only during major festivals which included Durga Puja and Lakshmi Puja.
- Krishnendu Mukherjee a bjp MLA candidate from Asansol North had promised during his campaign that he would work to reopen the temple.
- He reopened the temple after he won on Monday and visited the site. He kept his promise to the public.
