Government Responds to Pahalgam Attack

India has reacted forcefully to the latest terror attack on civilians in Pahalgam. The armed forces carried out attacks on terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Minister Rajnath Singh has expressed that there were 100 terrorists who are no longer alive because of these attacks.

Rajnath Singh Briefs All-Party Meeting

In order to instruct the national parties about the operation, the government arranged their conference on Thursday. Rajnath Singh informed that the Indian army attacked nine terror camps. He added that the strikes were made with high precision. He also confirmed that Operation Sindoor continues.

On account of the sensitive status of the situation, he said that extensive details could not be divulged as of now. He clarified that while India never wants to lead to an escalation of tensions, any more provoking acts by Pakistan will be met with a stern response.

Minister Rijiju on Political Unity

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju also spoke to the media after the meeting. He clarified that the Defense Minister communicated the government's stance to opposition leaders. He further stated that certain technical details were not revealed as the operation is still ongoing.

Rijiju welcomed the maturity of the opposition. He emphasized that there is no room for political difference of opinion when it comes to issues of national security.

Opposition Supports the Operation

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi also spoke on the matter. He said that all opposition parties are backing the government's moves under Operation Sindoor. He stressed that national interest is paramount and said the operation is still ongoing.
