Actress Priyamani explained that the web series 'Good Wife' is not a direct remake of the American legal drama 'The Good Wife'. She explained that the writers made a variation to suit the cultural scenario of Tamil Nadu. The show is created and produced by actress Revathi, and it will be available on Jio Hotstar from July 4.

Priyamani clarified that the show depicts a woman who takes care of her family when her husband gets arrested in a sex scandal. She further added that the program brings to the forefront the emotional and practical struggles of a single mother.

Priyamani talked about how much support she has received from her mother, who was instrumental in her career. Her mother quit her job in a bank to stand by her all the time in the film industry, Priyamani said. Priyamani also referred to her mother as Good Wife for taking daring decisions for the future of her child.
Series to Stream in Multiple Indian Languages
The series will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, and Bengali. The promotional material shows that the series will feature both legal and family drama elements.
Priyamani’s Experience with OTT Platforms
Priyamani has earlier experience with OTT content. She appeared in the Hindi series 'Family Man' and also was in the Telugu OTT movie 'Bhama Kalapam'. She is the lead in 'Good Wife'. She is played by actor Sampath Raj as her husband, and Ari Arjunan in a lawyer role.
