Imran Khan Criticizes Pakistan Cricket Team After Losses To India

Back-to-Back Defeats in Asia Cup

The Pakistani cricket team lost consecutively against India in the Asia Cup. Ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan responded to the losses and ridiculed the team. He gave a satirical remark that Army Chief General Asim Munir and PCB Chairman Naqvi should open the innings. He further suggested that Pakistan might win if all the umpires were on their side.

Aleema Khan Shares Imran's Remarks

Imran Khan's sister Aleema Khan addressed reporters on Monday. She told that she had already briefed her brother on the consecutive losses to India. Imran later gave his remarks regarding the issue. In his words, Munir and Naqvi were the people who were at fault, and he joked that they should open bat.

Criticism of Officials

Imran also said that other officials would have to act as umpires for Pakistan to achieve victory. They were former Chief Justice Qazi Fayoz Isa, Chief Election Commissioner Sikander Sultan Raja, and Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Sarfaraz Dogar. He alleged that Naqvi had been undermining Pakistan cricket by nepotism and poor leadership.
