The marriage of Indian women's cricket sensation Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal was put off, thus leading to speculation on social media that the wedding had been canceled.
Smriti and Palash have finally reacted to the speculations by adding a 'Nazar Amulet' emoji to their Instagram bios. And that seemingly confirms there is no problem between them.
Recently, the lack of wedding-related posts on Smriti’s Instagram drew much attention online. A video showcasing her engagement ring and announcing her engagement with Palash is no longer available on her account. The same video was deleted from the social media accounts of Smriti’s friends, namely Jemima and Shreyanka. Such actions sparked rumors about a possible disagreement between the duo. Apart from this, screenshots apparently showing Palash chatting with another woman went viral that furthered the rumors.
On Friday, Palash’s mother Amita Muchhal told an English magazine that everything is fine and the marriage of the couple would take place very soon. She said, “Both Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal are facing problems presently. We have made special arrangements to welcome them. Everything is fine now. Their wedding will take place very soon.”
Meanwhile, Smriti and Palash also changed their Instagram bios, indicating that the matter has been sorted out.
