Export Value Increased Sharply
This is the sharpest increase in smartphone exports to the US. According to government data, exports reached $1.47 billion, or about Rs. 13,230 crore, in October of 2025. Exports were valued at $0.46 billion, or about Rs. 4,140 crore, in October 2024. Thus, the export value tripled in just one year.
Strong Growth in the April–October Period
The total for exports of smartphones from April to October 2025 is $10.78 billion-approximately Rs 97,000 crore-while for the same period in 2024, it is $3.6 billion, or about Rs 32,400 crore. This reflects a steady and strong rise in export performance.
Factors Behind Export Growth
According to official sources, several factors contributed to this increase:
- Product-based incentive programs
- Strong relationships with component vendors
- Continued investments by major global smartphone companies
These factors combined to broaden production and raise the capacity to export.
Global export performance also improved
India's total smartphone exports to global markets reached $15.95 billion - about Rs. 1.41 lakh crore - during April–October 2025, up 49.35% from $10.68 billion - about Rs. 95,000 crore - recorded in the same period in 2024.
