- KKR released the maximum number of players and have the biggest purse now at Rs 64.30 crore. They need to fill up 13 slots. CSK follow next with Rs 43.40 crore. The likelihood of one among these two teams signing Cameron Green.

- KKR previously bought Venkatesh Iyer for Rs 23.75 crore. As his performance did not come out that well, KKR released him. This time, too, he is not likely to attract any high bid.

- KKR, which also released Andre Russell, need: - Two top-order batsmen - One pace-bowling all-rounder
- Among these, the batsmen Liam Livingstone and Quinton de Kock will start the proceeds along with the fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana.

- Apart from Venkatesh Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi is the only Indian player to possess a base price of Rs. 2 crore.
Auction Rules and Player's Payoffs
- This mini-auction won't allow the RTM card. The coming event may make Cameron Green the costliest foreigner in IPL history as his auction bid can well cross Mitchell Starc's Rs. 24.75 crore record.
- However, the auction rules cap the earnings of the player. Even if Green is bid for Rs. 25 crore, he will get Rs. 18 crore for the season. This is because:
- Cap on maximum salary at highest retention slot of Rs 18 crore. Any amount higher than the said figure will be deducted from the purse of the franchise.
