PM Modi Reaffirms India’s Stand Against Terrorism

Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that India completely rejects all types of terrorism. He explained that India has dealt with terrorist attacks throughout its history and now knows their consequences. During his speech at the Israeli Parliament he declared his complete backing of Israel's efforts to combat terrorism.

Modi explained that he was the first Indian Prime Minister to speak before the Israeli Parliament. He considered the opportunity to speak before the audience as a distinguished privilege. He expressed his joy about visiting Israel for his second time. He showed that India and Israel share common heritage because both countries possess ancient cultures and historical traditions.

Call for Peace and Consistent Global Approach

Modi stated that no situation permits justification of terrorist acts. He declared that attacks which target noncombatants should never be accepted. He referred to the Hamas attacks and expressed sympathy for Israel’s suffering. He explained that India supports Israel regarding multiple important matters.

He pointed out that Palestinian issues require assessment because they demand urgent resolution. He called for dialogue and peaceful solutions. He requested that the world community should apply equal standards when they handle terrorist incidents. According to Modi, peace requires consistent policies and mutual understanding.

India–Israel Cooperation in Defense and Technology

Modi recognized Israel as a valuable partner which helped India advance its technological capabilities. He reported that both countries signed multiple defense and security agreements. The purpose of these agreements is to enhance their strategic partnership.

He also mentioned that Israeli technology has brought advantages to India's agricultural industry. India has developed new agricultural methods and farming advancements through its partnership with Israel. 

Netanyahu Praises Modi’s Leadership

The Israeli Parliament hosted Prime Minister Netanyahu who showed appreciation for Modi's visit by describing it as an important event. British Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the Israeli Parliament's welcome from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who called Modi a global leader. Netanyahu extended friendship first to Israel before declaring his security relationship with the country. Modi made India advance through his leadership according to the speaker of the Indian parliament. The two countries established trade relationships which reached double their previous volume. Ancient civilizations and their historic ties to each other existed between both nations according to Netanyahu.

Modi Receives ‘Speaker of the Knesset Medal’

The Israeli government awarded Prime Minister Modi the 'Speaker of the Knesset Medal' as a tribute to his accomplishments. The award recognized his efforts to strengthen the strategic partnership between India and Israel. The Knesset speaker Amir Ohana awarded the medal to Modi after his speech.

Modi became the first Indian Prime Minister to achieve this recognition. He is also among the few leaders who have received top honors from both Israel and Palestine. In 2018, he received Palestine’s highest civilian award, the ‘Grand Collar of the State of Palestine,’ for his diplomatic engagement.
