- The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) responded to these claims. The ministry clearly stated that the reports are false. The ministry rejected all claims and warned people to avoid believing that information.
Claim About Use of Indian Military Bases
The reports suggested that the United States asked for permission to use military bases located in western India. According to these claims, the bases would support operations against Iran.
Some English-language media platforms published articles based on this claim. The MEA responded by issuing a statement through its official "MEA FactCheck" platform.

Pattern of Similar Misinformation
- Such claims are not new. False reports about India appeared during different periods of tension in West Asia which have occurred throughout history.
- Recent reports indicate that a U.S. submarine attacked and sunk the Iranian warship IRIS Dena-75. At that time, some sources also claimed that U.S. forces were using Indian ports.
- The Ministry of External Affairs rejected those claims as well. The ministry identified the reports as false and established that no such activity occurred.
