The Performance and Recognition of Arundhati Reddy
The ICC awarded Arundhati Reddy the Best Women’s Cricketer of the Month title for February because of her exceptional performance as an Indian fast bowler.
She displayed her skills during the T20 series against the Australia women's national cricket team through her exceptional bowling performance which resulted in the following statistics:
- 4 wickets for 22 runs
- 2 wickets for 30 runs
- 2 wickets for 35 runs
Her performance enabled India women's national cricket team to secure the series victory with a 2–1 match result.
Arundhati expressed her pride in receiving the award. She explained that winning against Australia on their home ground is difficult. She said the series victory made the award feel more significant to her.
Sahibzada Farhan Wins Men’s Award
The ICC award for the men’s category was presented to Sahibzada Farhan.
He played a crucial role for his team during the T20 World Cup because he achieved the following results:
- Scored 383 runs in 7 matches
- Hit two centuries
- One against Sri Lanka national cricket team
- One against Namibia national cricket team
His performance made him one of the top contributors in the tournament.
