Second Offense in IPL 2026 Season
- The Punjab Kings achieved their second victory during the 2026 IPL season. The league officials assessed penalties against the team after their game against the Chennai Super Kings because of their inadequate over-rate performance.

Updated Rules for Repeated Offenses
The IPL changed its rules before the previous season. A captain faced a one-match suspension after three slow over-rate offenses. The revised regulations eliminated this suspension.
