Seven Pilgrims Die as Wall Falls During Chandanotsavam

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has expressed profound grief over the loss of seven lives due to a wall collapse during the Simhachalam Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Chandanotsavam festival.

According to the authorities, there was a collapse of a wall because of the heavy rain - and that's how the accident happened. The Chief Minister was "shocked" when he heard of the accident and extended his condolence to the families of victims.

Immediate Response and Relief Measures

The Chief Minister revealed he was in direct contact with the District Collector and Superintendent of Police so as to understand the situation on the ground. He ordered local authorities to provide immediate medical treatment to the injured and insisted on ongoing monitoring of rescue and relief efforts.

Official sources also suggested that the Chief Minister could visit King George Hospital (KGH) to see the families of the victims. Police officials, in the meanwhile, are reviewing security procedures and crowd control measures in wake of the tragedy.
