Kawasaki Versys 650 2025 Launched In India At ₹7.93 Lakh: Full Specs & Features

Kawasaki has officially launched the 2025 model of its adventure bike, Versys 650, in the nation. The new variant can be purchased at an ex-showroom price of ₹7.93 lakh. The new model is in accordance with India's newest emission norms compliance, featuring the OBD-2B standard as per central regulation guidelines.

Compared to the 2024 model, the 2025 Versys 650 comes with a negligible hike of ₹16,000. Kawasaki is also launching promotional offers on the previous model, which are currently running with up to ₹30,000 offers.

Design and Compliance Updates

2025 Kawasaki Versys 650 has its fundamental design theme left untouched without any major structural revision. The most outwardly apparent update is the use of fresh colors, providing the Indian market with new designs for the motorcycle. The motorcycle is in compliance with current OBD-2B exhaust emission standards, as the Indian government asked it to become.

Engine Specifications and Performance

The Versys 650 is equipped with a liquid-cooled 649 cc parallel-twin engine. The engine churns out 66 hp at 8,500 rpm and maximum torque of 61 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The engine features a 6-speed transmission to provide uninterrupted power for long journeys and varied roads. The weight of the motorcycle is 218 kg, and the stability balance with tractable handling makes it ideal for touring.

Braking System and Fuel Capacity

The braking system is made up of a 300 mm front disc and a 250 mm rear disc, and has ample stopping power under diverse riding conditions. The 21-litre fuel tank enables long travel ranges, making the Versys 650 a great option for long-distance riders who need fewer fuel stops on tours.

Market Position and Competitors

In the Indian premium mid-weight adventure bike market, the Kawasaki Versys 650 competes head-to-head with offerings such as the Triumph Tiger Sport 660. Although the Triumph is priced higher at ₹9.45 lakh (ex-showroom), the Versys provides a reasonably priced entry point with similar levels of performance benchmarks and is therefore a great value bet for tourer riders.
