Strict Airspace Ban During Prime Minister's Visit
A 5 km no-fly zone has been established near the site of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled visit to Amaravati. Drones will not be allowed in the no-fly zone until the visit ends, according to Drone Corporation officials. This ban also extends near the Gannavaram Airport.
Security Increased After Terror Strike
As an aftermath of the recent terror incident in Pahalgam, security arrangements for the Prime Minister's visit have been heightened. PM Modi is scheduled to fly into Gannavaram Airport on a special flight from Thiruvananthapuram. He will be welcomed upon arrival by State Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha and Deputy Speaker Raghuramakrishna Raju.
Travel Plans and Alternate Routes
The Prime Minister will come to Amaravati from the airport by helicopter. Four helicopters have already arrived at the airport. If the weather is not good, two other road routes are prepared. The routes take a way through Kesarpalli, Goodavalli, Enikepadu, and Ramavarappadu to the capital via Benzi Circle, Prakasam Barrage, and Undavalli Karakatta. Another thing that has been done is the convoy trial run on this route.
Officials are mulling a road show, in which case that region would also be covered under the no-fly zone. Guntur Range IG Sarvashreshtha Tripathi has urged people not to let off balloons during this time.
100 RDOs Deployed to Oversee Public Arrangements
To manage the large crowd anticipating the event, the Revenue Department has sent close to 100 RDOs, 200 Tahsildars, and 200 surveyors across the state. All these officers would be tasked with managing public utilities and facilitating car parking and driving in a problem-free manner.
Emergency Medical Services on High Alert
30 medical teams are arranged by the Medical and Health Department at the venue for emergency services. Three temporary hospitals, each with 10 beds, have been erected in the vicinity. Along with it, 21 ambulances will be kept on standby. Special wards have also been made ready at Mangalagiri AIIMS and another private hospital.
Ministers Inspect Arrangements
A group of ministers, such as Payyavula Keshav, Narayana, Nadendla Manohar, and Kollu Ravindra, inspected the assembly ground on Thursday. They assured that arrangements were made so that visitors are not put to any inconvenience. According to the ministers, the public's excitement about the resumption of works in Amaravati was seen.
