U.S. Announces Total Support for India Amid Escalating Tensions

In a strong statement, the United States reconfirmed its unflinching support for India's uncompromising fight against terrorism. US State Department Spokesperson Tommy Bruce, who spoke at a news conference held every day, said that the US authorities were completely in favor of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Bruce asserted that the U.S. is dedicated to cooperating with India on security issues and continues to prioritize pursuing long-term regional peace.

Referencing Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s earlier remarks, Bruce highlighted the importance of responsible diplomacy between India and Pakistan. She confirmed that the U.S. continues to monitor developments between the two nations with close attention.

High-Level U.S. Officials Engage Both Nations for Regional Stability

As Bruce informs, President Donald Trump recently placed a call with Prime Minister Modi where he assured the U.S.'s strong stance against terror directed at India. Trump also urged peaceful diplomacy between India and Pakistan to enhance South Asian stability. "We continue our regular dialogue with both governments," Bruce added.

Secretary of State Rubio also contacted Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. He called on Pakistan to condemn the recent Pahalgam terror attack and cooperate in full in the resulting investigation. Rubio reaffirmed that re-establishing direct diplomatic relations between India and Pakistan is still essential.

Vice President Vance Expresses Support for India's Anti-Terrorism Efforts

US Vice President JD Vance, who is currently in India, has strongly criticized the recent assault on the tourists in Pahalgam. In a podcast interview, Vance called the attack "deeply disturbing" and endorsed India's restrained reaction. He said he hoped it would not expand into a large-scale conflict and called on Pakistan to act with responsibility by supporting India in countering terrorism activities, particularly trans-border threats.
