Chandrababu Naidu Commits To Rebuilding Amaravati In Three Years

CM Dedicating More Than ₹57,000 Crore Infrastructure Projects In Andhra Capital Region

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has initiated a ambitious plan to complete the Amaravati construction within three years. Speaking at a public event on the restart of capital development work, Naidu highlighted the inauguration and launch of various infrastructure projects worth ₹57,962 crore. The scheme includes state, central, and highway developments setting the stage for Amaravati to be a modern, well-planned capital city.

Naidu has made it clear that Amaravati is going to be constructed with sustainable design features and 30% of the area will be kept for greenery and the city will be developed according to the Prime Minister Narendra Modí's instructions. The proposal also has dedicated areas for education and healthcare with the aim to make the capital a holistic urban center.

Foundation Stones Laid for Major Capital Projects

On the launch day itself, the state government initiated 74 capital development schemes worth ₹49,000 crore. At the same time, it has also laid the foundation stone for 94 more realms worth ₹5,028 crores. These consist of nine central government programs, eight national highway projects worth ₹3,620 crore, and three railway projects. They are all aimed at accelerating the development of Amaravati as a fully functional capital.

Chandrababu Naidu addressed the gathering by reaffirming his commitment to delivering a capital that residents can take pride in. He noted that Amaravati’s developmental momentum had stalled under the previous administration but claimed that recent political shifts and central government backing have cleared the path for full-scale implementation.

Vision for a Sustainable, Modern Capital

The Chief Minister traced out a highly detailed plan for urban development incorporating green cover spread through Miyawaki process, strengthening water resource systems, and infusion of upgraded infrastructure. Naidu once more promised that the capital would be built with schools, a health city, and infrastructure suited to a growing population. These propositions are expected to support long-term regional growth as well as improvement in quality of life.

The Prime Minister Modi had already initiated the Amaravati and further underlined a repeat in leadership was required to get the construction of the capital back on track, was the point added by Naidu. Naidu described the day as a day of historic importance for the state, observing the revival of a prolonged project with joint efforts of the central and state governments.

Endorsement of Central Leadership and National Progress

Chandrababu Naidu welcomed the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a decisive and capable leader steering India through crucial challenges. He recalled Modi's gloomy demeanor at a recent meeting as being because of the nation's grieving over a terrorist attack. Naidu assured complete support to the Centre's national security policies and anti-terrorism efforts and stated that India is in safe hands at a crucial moment.

Emphasizing India's economic progress, Naidu attributed the country's growth to Modi, who had taken it from the world's 10th largest economy to the 5th in a little more than a decade. Referring to International Monetary Fund estimates, he said India was likely to overtake Japan and reach the 4th position by the year-end with an eye on a top-two position by 2047. Naidu declared that this path had been set by Modi because of his emphasis on national interest and economic growth.

Economic Revival With Centre's Assistance

Naidu explained that the state economy had been in its critical period when his government took office. He likened its state to putting it on a ventilator and blamed the same on the central government—and Modi himself—for offering the necessary assistance to revive it. With the help of continuous collaboration and well-planned assistance, he wished Andhra Pradesh to be self-dependent and supportive of other states' financial needs.

He also welcomed the Union Cabinet's recent decision to conduct a census based on caste, calling it a game-changer for governance and policy-making. In the opinion of Naidu, this move showcases Modi's commitment to inclusiveness and even development. He stated that such steps will bring national stability and result in a developed India.

Amaravati to Host India's Quantum Technology Hub

In line with the scheme of tech-led development, Naidu announced the establishment of a "Quantum Valley" in Amaravati. The project has been linked to the national Quantum Mission launched by Modi in 2023. Collaborations with top technology firms like TCS, IBM, and L&T have already been signed, with a view to making Amaravati a hub of quantum innovation and research.

He attributed Modi with transforming India's technology landscape, in the context of the successful rollout of UPI, semiconductor initiatives, and digital infrastructure models like JAM. To Naidu, there is no political leader more cognizant of technology and its national importance than Prime Minister Modi.

Symbolic Significance and Future Optimism

Examining the weather conditions of the time, Naidu added that pleasant weather had defied expectations, classifying it as a God bless for the Amaravati renaissance. He reported that Modi himself stated a remark on his good luck with weather on all major events over the past 25 years. Naidu added that the clear weather fortified the belief in the success of the re-launching of the capital.

The Chief Minister also gave a concluding message with an invitation for Prime Minister Modi to come back after three years to cut the ribbon of the new capital. He stated that with unified public support and central government partnership, Amaravati’s development is now back on track. The vision, he said, is to create a city that every citizen of Andhra Pradesh can claim with pride.
